VIX LIGHT

Some of my indicators might be changing soon…

But for now, my VIX light is still RED.

Which means, I expect volatility to stabilize or drop.

Heading into a holiday weekend sometimes makes vol dip –

There’s also lower trading volume…

So we could see some chop in volatility from lower volume and lower liquidity.

The VIX curve is still in contango but not as strong…

I expect vol to come back down today –

The VIX is now at 23.59…

The market has been soft in the open this morning and SPY is now at $441.81 …

We are at an important breaking point.

I will be watching these indicators to determine whether or not the bull run is nearly over and whether my light will stay red or change to yellow.

I think it could be heading below $165, so I may look for a short play.

2. Exxon Mobil Corp (NYSE:XOM)

XOM is dropping today – now at $84.10…

3. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ)

VZ looks to be heading up – now at $54.36.
