Dear Profit Takeover reader,

One of the biggest trading weeks of the year is coming up this month –

VIX expiration is on Tuesday the 15th

The FOMC meeting on Wednesday the 16th

And quadruple-witching on Friday the 18th.

And in preparation, I am hosting a Quadruple Witching Summit tomorrow, March 9, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. (ET).

The next week could be explosive, and here’s why…

Quadruple Witching means that four stock derivatives expire on the same day:

  1. Stock index futures contracts,
  2. Single-stock options,
  3. Options on stock-index futures, and
  4. Stock index options.

All of these expiring on the same day could create HUGE volume and WILD volatility.

And I am going to help traders prepare 9 days in advance so they know exactly how to trade into quadruple witching.

Add it to your calendar too so you don’t miss it.

You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to prep your trading arsenal for a massive day of expirations.

Until next time,

Mark Sebastian

Volatility forecast

My VIX traffic light is still BRIGHT GREEN and vol is starting to spike in VIX options:

We are still seeing VIX futures in backwardation and the market is falling apart.

Oil ran higher as the US was preparing to ban Russian oil.

For instance USO is up $20 since last week.

Now we are seeing oil names pull back and money flow into tech and financials.

This classic bear market rally could last a day or two –

Though, CPI might kill this.

TODAY’S WATCHLIST

  1. Denison Mines Corp (NYSEAMERICAN:DNN)

Uranium is strong today.

DNN might make a run at 2 bucks in the coming weeks.

I would be looking for a cheap call play here.

  1. Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (NYSEARCA:XLF)

I am seeing a lot of big money flow in puts on XLF.

In the next pop higher, I’ll be looking to get short.

  1. Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE:JWN)

Retailers are off to the races.

JWN could move back to 30.

I would be looking for a quick bullish play here.
