Dear Profit Takeover reader,

Energy has been the trade of the year so far, and we’re only in the “third inning” of 2022.

Last year, energy valuations were insanely low compared with tech names.

At the end of 2021, XOM’s market cap was $259 billion and now it’s $352 billion – which is 36% higher.

AAPL’s market cap was $2.90T and now at $2.91T – up 0.3%.

That’s because Brent crude oil prices are 29.9% higher than they were last year. And as a result, energy stocks have totally exploded.

This is BP’s run higher since last year – it hit a low of about $21 in Jan/Feb of 2021 and now touching around $30

Here’s USO – United States Oil ETF (NYSEARCA:USO) – since last year – around $33 at the first quarter of 2021 and now at $74:

Thanks to rising oil prices, energy is the new tech – Exxon is the new Apple.

And I’ve been taking advantage of that fact all year long.

Check out all of the energy, oil, and mining trades I’ve made in the Profit Revolution since the start of the year:

And now, the opportunities are only getting bigger.

Next week kicks off the start of earnings season. And after a first quarter of rallying oil prices, we’re going to see some unbelievable revenue numbers from energy names.

These are 5 of the BIGGEST energy names I am watching – AND their earnings announcement dates…

  1. VALE: Earnings announcement on Apr 25, 2022
  2. BP: Earnings announcement on Apr 26, 2022
  3. XOM: Earnings announcement on Apr 29, 2022
  4. DVN: Earnings announcement on May 02, 2022
  5. RIG: Earnings announcement ALSO on May 02, 2022

I am expecting EXPLOSIVE earnings pops…

And we could make the ultimate trade of the year.

I’ll be guiding traders in the Profit Revolution through earnings – particularly in these oil and energy sectors.

VIX LIGHT

My VIX indicators are still…

RED.

Which means, I expect volatility to stabilize or drop.

2 days of selling in the market does not make a trend –

And we could easily see the market turn around when the Fed minutes are released today.

SPY has rolled down over the past couple of days – it is now at about $446

VIX is currently at 24.32 and I am interested in what effect the Fed minutes will have…

And VXX is currently coming back down off the pop in the open today – now at $25.58…
