Dear Profit Takeover reader,

We have an adjusted trading schedule this week because Thursday is Thanksgiving Day.

But just because some people are taking the week off of trading doesn’t mean all traders have to.

This Friday after Thanksgiving especially, I am going to watch out for cheap options that could be ripe for buying.

I have been watching for trends in several sectors: energy, transportation, industrials, and tech.

And as traders, it’s important to understand:

The Trend is Our Friend

Especially during holiday weeks, whatever stocks seem to be doing is what they will likely continue to do.

Here are some stocks I will be watching this week and how I’d play them…

  1. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) – I think AAPL will follow the downward trend it’s been on since late summer of this year. It’s currently sitting at $149.25 and I’d look for cheap puts here.
  2. BP plc (NYSE:BP) – BP on the other hand has beaten highs we haven’t seen since last June – currently at around $34.71 as I write this. I think BP could go even higher.

Until next time,

Mark Sebastian
